NESE is accredited by ACCET and maintains professional affiliations with TESOL, MATSOL, NAFSA, English USA, IIE, and the Southern Law Poverty Center. Further, NESE has been recognized by Bildungsurlaub in Germany and the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission, among other governmental agencies.

  • ACCET - The Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training.
  • ACCET has been an ISO-certified organization recognized by the United States Department of Education as a national accrediting agency since 1978. In this role, ACCET evaluates the quality of educational organizations and verifies the extent to which all required standards are met. NESE has been continuously accredited by ACCET since 1998 (except between 2008-2013, during which time it chose to be accredited by CEA). Currently, NESE is recognized by ACCET with its top level of recognition: 5-year recurrent accreditation.
  • TESOL - Teachers of English as a Second Language.
  • TESOL is the largest professional organization for teachers of English as a second or foreign language.  Its mission is to ensure the quality of English language teaching through professional development, research, standards, and advocacy.
  • English USA (formerly known as AAIEP) is a membership association of over 350 quality, accredited intensive English programs in the United States. Its mission is to provide support, standards, and advocacy for these intensive English programs.
  • IIE - Institute of International Education.
  • IIE was founded in 1919, and is one of the largest international education and training organizations in the world. It is committed to delivering program excellence to its members.
