NESE - A Program Created by Professionals for Professionals

Learning English as a Professional...

WE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE UNIQUE NEEDS & GOALS

It Means Dividing Courses by Level and Further Sub-Dividing by Age
It Means Dividing Courses by Level and Further Sub-Dividing by Age

When a professional first arrives at NESE, he is given a placement test, and although he is placed into the academic level that provides him with the fastest learning possible, NESE realizes that this division is not enough. Therefore, all classes at NESE are also subdivided according to age. This means that a professional has classmates who are in positions similar to his: professionals who want to study in a serious environment that caters to their specific needs(1). Following their placement tests, professionals participate in a special orientation to NESE and to Boston. This orientation is offered to NESE’s professional students only.

It Means Having a Flexible Schedule

Whether you work in business, science, law, or education, NESE recognizes that as a professional, you have very specific needs. As a result, NESE provides a choice of schedules to best suit a professional’s specific goals:

  • To follow our regular Intensive or Semi-Intensive Program
  • To take NESE’s specialized courses such as Business English, Legal English, Pronunciation, and TOEFL® Preparation
  • To receive private instruction
  • To attend special group lessons
  • To take any combination of the above
It Means a Sensitivity to the Needs of a Busy Professional

Professionals Only Computer Lab, Lounge, & Activities

NESE has a special executive area within our building. This area includes a private lounge for all professionals currently studying at NESE to meet and discuss topics relevant to their fields of expertise. It also includes a private computer lab with unlimited free access to e-mail. Wireless access is also available for professionals who wish to use their laptops.

After class, NESE offers professionals many activities and trips to areas of interest. Our “Professionals Only” Club is one of the most popular activities. This club was designed to provide professionals with additional opportunities to meet classmates who share their interests, attend meetings, and visit companies in Boston. Through this club, professionals also often attend lectures at Harvard as well as social events in Boston.
